1. Scope and responsible use
This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the Terms of Service and applies to the website, APIs, Actors and related services of Waztap Inc. ("Waztap"). You are responsible for your use of the services, inputs and outputs, including activity by people you authorize. Follow applicable law, your plan, marketplace rules and source terms. Public availability does not remove privacy obligations, source restrictions or third-party rights. See Data Sources & Attribution for source details.
2. Prohibited uses
You must not use the services to:
- Violate law, court orders, export controls, sanctions or the rights of others, including privacy, intellectual-property and contractual rights.
- Scrape or harvest the website or services through unauthorized means, impose unreasonable load, disrupt availability, or exceed or circumvent rate limits, quotas, usage meters, authentication or other access controls, including through multiple accounts or coordinated requests. Documented API and Actor access within your plan is permitted.
- Resell, sublicense or share access credentials, or repackage Waztap's raw feeds or bulk outputs as a substantially competing data-access service, unless your plan or a written agreement expressly allows it. This restriction concerns your use of Waztap's services and does not limit rights you obtain independently from a source, including rights to use or redistribute public-domain USDA data.
- Copy, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to discover non-public source code or service internals, except to the extent a restriction is prohibited by law.
- Probe, scan or test the security of the services or related systems without prior written authorization, access another person's account or data, or exploit or conceal a vulnerability.
- Misrepresent the origin, publisher, version, freshness or accuracy of data; remove required attribution or rights notices; claim that Waztap or a government publisher endorses your product; or present modified data as an unmodified official record.
- Harass, stalk, threaten, dox, unlawfully discriminate against or otherwise harm people, or combine records to facilitate those activities.
- Use outputs as a consumer report or for credit, insurance, employment, housing or other eligibility decisions in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar laws. Waztap is not a consumer reporting agency, and its services are not designed for regulated eligibility screening.
- Distribute malware or malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, or use the services to send spam, unsolicited bulk messages or deceptive communications.
- Submit secrets, stolen data or unnecessary sensitive personal information, or use the services for processing you are not entitled to perform.
3. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take reasonable protective action, including rejecting requests, limiting usage, suspending or terminating access, preserving relevant evidence and cooperating with marketplace providers or authorities when appropriate and lawful. We may act without advance notice where needed to address urgent harm, security risks or legal requirements. When practicable, we will notify you and provide an opportunity to address a violation. Marketplace agreements and mandatory law govern applicable billing, cancellation and refund rights. We consider the nature and severity of the conduct when choosing a response.
4. Reporting and changes
Report suspected abuse, security issues or source-rights concerns to support@waztap.com. Include relevant public URLs or request identifiers and a concise description. Do not send credentials, exploit a suspected vulnerability further or include unnecessary personal information. This policy may be updated using the notice and effective-date process in the Terms of Service.
